GETTING THERE

Visiting the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre couldn’t be easier. O=MEGA21 Trade Fair will be located in the Exhibition Centre with entry via Door 8 and the Clinical Conference entry via the Goldfields Foyer on the Convention Centre.

GOLDEN TICKET PROMOTION

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

How to enter the draw

Exhibitor Reps and Sales staff issue the O=MEGA21 branded and numbered Golden Tickets with their company details to their customers, including optometrists, dispensers, practice staff.

The O=MEGA21 Visitor must complete their name and affix the Practice stamp and/or business card to the Golden Ticket. (Must be validated by stamp or business card); and then attend the O=MEGA21 Trade Fair.

Golden Tickets must be hand posted in the prize barrel located inside the Trade Fair exhibition hall.

Both the rep and the customer whose names appear on the Golden Ticket win a prize each.

Prizes will be drawn at 4pm Saturday 2 September 2021. You do not need to be inside the Trade Fair at the time the prize is drawn to win the prize.

Conditions of Entry

This prize draw is an initiative of Optical Distributors & Manufacturers Association (ODMA) and Optometry Victoria South Australia (OVSA), hereinafter called The Organisers.

This is a game of chance.

Entry into the prize draw means you accept these terms and conditions.

Entry is free.

Entry is open to Australian and New Zealand residents who attend O=MEGA21 on any of the operational days between 2-4 September 2021 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf, Melbourne.

Prize draw entrants must be 18 or over at the time of O=MEGA21.

Employees and contractors of The Organisers, their agencies, non-exhibiting trade suppliers and agencies associated with this promotion, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.

All entries become the property of The Organisers.

The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or attempting to act in a fraudulent or dishonest manner.

The Organisers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

Entries close on Saturday 2 September 2021 at 3.50pm.

 

Prize Draw and notification

Both the visitor and the Exhibitor Rep whose names appear on the prize winning Golden Ticket will receive a holiday package to the value of $3,500 each (total prize pool value is a maximum of $7,000) consisting of:

 

  • 2 x Return economy flights from within Australia to Hamilton Island.

  • 3 nights, minimum 4 stars accommodation (resort, villa, apartment or lodge) including breakfast in a shared room.

  • Airport transfer in Hamilton Island.

  • $300 spa voucher per couple to be used at Spa Wumurdaylin (pre reservation required).

  • Meals, tours, hire car, home transfers, insurance and spending money are not included.

  • Prize to be used within 12 months of receiving voucher.

  • Bookings need to be made 3 months in advance of intended travel date.

  • Not applicable during school holidays or in conjunction with any public holiday.

  • Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at the time of printing. All prize values are in Australian dollars.

  • The prize cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash and is transferable only at the discretion of The Organisers. No compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated.

  • The judges’ draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

CRÈCHE

No babysitter? No worries! O=MEGA21 will offer a creche service across all three days of the Conference and Trade Fair. Registered delegates at the clinical conference can use the creche service at a special half day rate of $25 +gst per child, or the full day rate of $50 +gst. People attending the trade fair and masterclass program only will be charged $25 +gst per child / per hour to access the service.

Run by Abracadabra Childcare Services, the service will be located in the same building as O=MEGA21. This will ensure that drop-off and pick-up is quick and easy, as well as providing parents with the confidence that their children are not far away.

WHAT ARE THE FEES ?

  • $25 per child per half day/$50 for a full day for registered clinical conference delegates

  • $25 per child per hour for Trade Fair visitors and Masterclass participants

CAN I BOOK ONSITE?  DO I NEED TO PRE-REGISTER?

Places are limited so it’s important to pre-book your child spot early to avoid missing out.  Pre-registering for the crèche allows us to ensure we have an adequate staff/child ratio according to ages.

You can register for crèche on the day, however places cannot be guaranteed for late bookings. Payment can be made on the day and you will need your Conference or Trade Fair Badge to access the appropriate rate. Payments are accepted by Credit Card only - VISA/Mastercard and surcharges apply.

WHERE IS THE CRÈCHE LOCATED?

The O=MEGA21 crèche is located in VIP Suites 1 and 2 (1st floor of MCEC, next to the Sovereign Room). 

After you have collected your badge from ‘Registration’ please allow sufficient time to drop your child/ren at the crèche, fill out the attendance form and help them settle in.

WHAT ARE THE AGE LIMITS FOR THE CHILDREN?

This facility is available for children from 0 to 10 years of age. Limited spaces for children under 36 months old. Pre-booking is essential for children under the age of 36 months.

WILL FOOD AND DRINK BE SUPPLIED?

  • Water and fruit will be provided. Parents are responsible to bring all other food and snacks for their own child/ren for the day, including drink bottles clearly labelled with child’s name.

  • Parents must inform the crèche of any allergies when arriving onsite.

  • Please DO NOT bring food with nuts in it.

WHAT ABOUT SLEEP TIMES?

For any child/ren who require a nap/sleep, please bring along his/her pram or stroller. O=MEGA do not provide prams/strollers for naps.

WHAT ABOUT TOILETS & NAPPIES?

For children in nappies, parents must provide a change mat, fresh nappies, wipes and nappy bags.

There are toilets accessible within the suites so children do not need to be taken elsewhere.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • All children must be signed in and out by a legal guardian.

  • Children must be collected by 6.00pm on Thursday and Friday and by 5.00pm on Saturday.

  • Parent/Carer must always be contactable via mobile phone while children are in care.

  • The crèche phone number will be provided upon arrival to the crèche.
